The Inconvenience Store
2944 Randolph Ave, Unit 5, Costa Mesa, CA 92626: Yuta and Yasuko run a little boutique called The Inconvenience Store.
It is a shop known for its quirky and unique selection of original apparel goods, dried flowers by Thumbs Up Flowers (Yasuko), imported bike gear, and Japanese drinks — I like Ringo (apple) soda, Ramune, and Oolong tea. Items I frequently look for are Teranishi Magic Ink, imported skate magazines, random Japanese vinyl imports, vintage reggae tees and artwork from the art shows Yuta hosts.
I’ve known Yuta, his wife & his two kids for ten years now, we have gone on surf trips, and family dinners. Their family is amazing. It’s impressive to see what this family has done together creating this amazing community that does art shows and hosts bike rides, he has a core following of die-hards. Memorable moments from their shop were being able to meet Haroshi, and scoring a Barry Magee, skate decks from Mark Oblow, and an original Thomas Campbell sculpture for the dojo. Worth visiting…? ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY… always something weird to buy and the family is super nice, great people to know — tell them Dino the Dynosaur sent you.
Below is an evolution of The Inconvenience Store from its humble beginnings in Santa Ana to now Tokyo, Japan… Fuck Yea Yuta!!!
